The first trailer for the new PS4 Valkyria game Valkyria: Azure Revolution has arrived and you can watch it below. In typical Japanese fashion there’s a sexy lady with impossible breasts in it:
Valkyria: Azure Revolution will launch for PS4 in Japan sometime in 2016. The PS4 Valkyria Chronicles Remaster also launches in Japan for PS4 on the 10th of February 2016. The box art has also been revealed and you can see that below:
We’ve now got a better look at both Valkyria of the Blue Revolution and the PS4 Valkyria Chronicles remaster thanks to these new screenshots from Famitsu.
First up we have Valkyria of the Blue Revolution which definitely looks more like your traditional fantasy JRPG as we previously discussed yesterday:
Next up are the shots of the Valkyria Chronicles remaster which (as you can expect) don’t look particularly different to the original release:
Both games are due to launch in Japan for PS4 next year.
The previously trademarked Valkyria of the Blue Revolution has been given its official announcement via the latest Weekly Famitsu. This new game in the Valkyria Chronicles franchise will be the first for PS4 and from the images in the scan above, it would appear to be a little more fantastical with a focus on melee weapons.
Also announced is a remaster of the original Valkyria Chronicles which will also come to PS4. This will likely be the same port of the game that was released on PC but rolled out for PS4 owners.
A new trailer for Neptunia vs. SEGA Hard Girls has gone live. This new trailer showcases lots of the game’s characters and gives you a good look at the game’s battle system. You can check it out via the embed below:
Neptunia vs. SEGA Hard Girls launches on the 26th of November for PS Vita in Japan. There is currently no word on a Western release.
Project X Zone 2 will feature Segata Sanshiro in his first playable outing since Segata Sanshirō Shinken Yūgi for the Saturn in 1998. Segata Sanshiro originally featured in a run of popular Japanese advertisements for the SEGA Saturn.
Sanshiro will be a solo unit in the crossover strategy RPG which also features characters from Capcom and Namco Bandai franchises. He joins a cast of SEGA characters that include Akira and Kage-Maru from Virtua Fighter, Kazuma Kiryu and Goro Majima from Yakuza as well as Hotsuma from Shinobi.
Project X Zone 2 is being developed by Monolith Soft and will be released by Namco Bandai in Spring 2016 for the 3DS.
The first trailer for 7th Dragon III: code:VFD has gone live. You can check it out below:
As we previously learned, the opening theme is called Annabel and it’s by Vocaloid artist sasakure.UK. What we failed to pick up on is the fact Yuzo Koshiro has signed on for the game’s soundtrack which is pretty exciting news for fans of his work.
7th Dragon III: code:VFD launches in Japan on the 15th of October exclusively for 3DS. There is no word on a Western release and it’ll be unlikely that we get one seeing as the previous games have all been Japan exclusive.
The 7th Dragon series returns to Japan for its third installment, 7th Dragon III: code:VFD for the 3DS.
The RPG series has stayed Japan exclusive for its entirety but it’s notable for being produced by Rieko Kodama, creator of the Phantasy Star franchise.
Not much is known about 7th Dragon III outside what is currently displayed on the official website. The main theme will be produced by famed vocaloid artist sasakure.UK.
The first character artwork and screenshot of Axel Stone in Project X Zone 2 has been revealed and they’re pretty faithful to the original character design. You can check them both out below:
This is Axel Stone’s first in-game appearance since Streets of Rage 3 in 1994. Axel will be voiced by Tomokazu Sugita. Project X Zone 2 releases worldwide on 3DS this Autumn.
Well this is an odd one: following the disappearance of Imageepoch’s CEO Ryoei Mikage last month, the company have now filed for bankruptcy. The bankruptcy is apparently unrelated to Mikage’s disappearance and is blamed on a fall in company’s profits due to a sales slump. This was made worse by the rising cost of development.
There is no mention as to what will happen to the release of Imageepoch’s upcoming game Stella Glow which SEGA Japan are due to publish in June. I’d hazard a guess that unless the game had already gone gold, Stella Glow is likely cancelled.
SEGADriven wish everyone affected by this news all the best in finding work. We also hope that Mikage is found safe in due course.
