SEGA of Japan are running a 24 hour internet broadcast that discusses various games and franchises and will feature various members from the company, to be able to access this podcast we recommend using a VPN service like Cubik. The whole thing kicks off at 6pm JST February 2nd (that’s today!) and runs to 6pm JST February 3rd. The Sonic Team segment will go live at 2am JST February 3rd and the unofficial Sonic Adventure 3 Facebook page has revealed exactly what it will include: “The stream will feature 90 minutes of producer Takashi Iizuka, musician Jun Senoue, and the other Sonic Team staff mentioned in our previous post. They will be re-living Sonic history and SEGA hardware, making the stream a retrospective of the companies and mascots history.” You can see the full broadcast schedule by clicking here. While we love the Sonic the Hedgehog 4 soundtrack, we missed hearing Jun Senoue’s signature guitar work in action. Luckily, the CD version of the soundtrack includes a very special arrangement of all 3 Splash Hill themes with additional instrumentation such as Senoue-san’s famous guitar work. This will be Jun Senoue and Johnny Gioeli’s second appearance at the convention and their first together since 2010. Crush 40 have been working on a new EP featuring all original material which should hopefully be showcased at this year’s Summer of Sonic. Follow on Twitter @kronkblats Jun Senoue Confirmed for TGS Performance, 3rd Generations OST?Saturday, August 27th, 2011Jun Senoue, famed composer of many a Sonic game, has confirmed he will be performing on the SEGA stage of the Tokyo Game Show on Sunday September 18th. Jun will be performing alone and is planning an interesting playlist. “I need to think about the songs to play there and I know it will be a great opportunity to play some from Generations.” In other news, Jun has also confirmed that the 2 Sonic Generations CDs we discovered artwork for are in fact Japanese pre-order items for anyone pre-ordering either the PS3/360 or 3DS versions. “They are sort of giveaway CDs. I will work on the soundtrack CD of Sonic Generations later.” That last comment seems to indicate that Jun is arranging a proper Generations soundtrack CD for a later release. Follow on Twitter @kronkblats Jun Senoue’s Signature Sonic ESP Guitar Now In Production UPDATEThursday, August 25th, 2011Jun Senoue’s legendary Sonic Adventure custom ESP guitar is now being mass-produced! ESP’s Japan site has just unveiled a new page featuring the guitar’s specs and further details. We can’t read Japanese, but we’re guessing that the details in the giant, red box mean the guitar is only available between 25/08/2011 and 31/12/2011 due to this year being Sonic’s 20th. Jun’s Twitter also recommends that if you are interested in owning one and you’re not in Japan, you should talk to your local ESP retailer for additional details. This could mean that ESP Japan are willing to ship the guitars worldwide. EDIT: UK price confirmed! Lick Library have announced the UK price of the Jun Senoue signature ESP guitar will be £1299.
