Tails Adventure Rated for Virtual Console Re-Release

Underrated action-platformer Tails Adventure has been rated by the Australian classification board for re-release on 3DS.

Tails Adventure was originally released on the Game Gear in 1995 and is a slower-paced adventure that is reminiscent of early Castlevania games.

Sonic Dash Revealed to be a Temple Run-Style Game

It has been revealed that the gameplay of recently announced iOS game Sonic Dash will be similar to that of endless running game Temple Run.

SEGA have specifically stated that Sonic will be “making a fast and frenzied 3D dash through stunning stages, as he navigates over, around, and through interminable dangers”. Also included is online leaderboards.

Sonic Dash will be available for iPod, iPhone and iPad devices “soon”.

The Conduit HD Announced for Android Devices

Remember back in January when we reported on The Conduit being ported to Nvidia’s new Project Shield device? Well the game has finally got an official announcement as The Conduit HD and will be available for all Tegrazone supported Android devices.

The game launches on March 14th and the first 2 missions will be a free download. Also added is the option to purchase the remaining 6 levels in packs 2 for $2.99 or you can grab the lot at the special bundle priced of $4.99. There are no UK price listings at this time.

It also appears that High Voltage Software will be self-publishing the game this time and SEGA have no involvement in this HD re-release.

Hardlight Studio Confirm Their New Mobile Game is Sonic Dash

A couple of days ago a LinkedIn job adverstisement for Hardlight Studio mentioned the game ‘Sonic Dash’ as a recent success for the studio. After a lot of speculation that this could be a new mobile game from Hardlight we finally have the official word from the studio:

“As so many of you have asked, yes we are working on a new mobile game.

And yes, it is Sonic Dash.

We’re very excited to announce more details very soon.”

So that settles that then. Hardlight Studio previously developed the new version of Sonic Jump.

Arkedo Studio Officially Disbanded

Arkedo Studio, the team responsible for Hell Yeah! Wrath of the Dead Rabbit have sadly shut their doors.

Bizarrely, the studio didn’t go bankrupt or into administration. Arkedo weren’t able to secure a project after finishing Hell Yeah! and decided to disband while they had money and were able to get “good conditions” for all their staff elsewhere.

Arkedo have also announced that they have 2 other unannounced games which are complete. These games will be the last from the studio and should be released “soon”.

Hell Yeah! Spinoff Game Coming to iOS Tonight

SEGA’s PC/PSN/XBLA title Hell Yeah! Wrath of the Dead Rabbit is getting a spin-off title called Hell Yeah! Pocket Inferno. The game is an iOS running game like Canabalt and features a total of 50 stages. The game launches sometime tonight.
