SEGA will make an abhorrent freak (aka Suezo) from Monster Rancher available as a playable character in Super Monkey Ball: Banana Mania as paid for DLC. The character will cost $4.99 (or equivalent) like Hello Kitty on the same day the game launches (October 5th 2021). SEGA continue their trend of adding the absolute best bonus characters of all time to Super Monkey Ball: Banana Mania with today’s reveal that Hello Kitty is coming to the game as a paid for DLC character. More bonus characters have been revealed for Super Monkey Ball: Banana Mania and this time we have the additions of both Sonic the Hedgehog and Miles “Tails” Prower. Beat from Jet Set Radio is joining the Super Monkey Ball: Banana Mania cast as an unlockable character. When using Beat, the collectible bananas also change to cans of spray paint which is a cute little touch that helps with the Jet Set Radio theming. SEGA Europe and SEGA America are releasing Demon Slayer -Kimetsu no Yaiba- The Hinokami Chronicles in the West. The game is based on the long-running Demon Slayer manga and features a stylistic, anime graphical style. You can watch the first trailer below which highlights some of the game’s story beats:
Demon Slayer -Kimetsu no Yaiba- The Hinokami Chronicles will release on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S and PC on the 15th of October 2021. The game is available in 3 editions: a standard physical edition, a standard digital edition and a deluxe digital edition that includes a raft of digital extras that include bonus characters, avatars and costumes.
The developers of Endless Space 2 and Humankind are back with another title in the Endless franchise called Endless Dungeon. This time around we have a roguelike twin-stick shooter and it looks like you can play with up to 3 players in co-operative gameplay. The goal of the game is to fend off waves of alien baddies and defend a crystal from being shattered by the advancing enemies. You can check out the latest gameplay trailer below:
Endless Dungeon will release on PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S and PC. There is currently no release date set for the game.
Two Point Studios are back at it with their first new title since their debut release of Two Point Hospital back in 2018. The studio will be releasing a follow-up of sorts in the form of Two Point Campus; a university building simulation game with a similar dose of humour to Two Point Hospital. SEGA have revealed the sequel to Judgment in the form of Lost Judgment, which will be releasing worldwide on September 24th 2021 for PS4, PS5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S. You can check out the reveal trailer by clicking the embed below:
According to an IGN interview with Yakuza creator Toshihiro Nagoshi and producer Kazuki Hosokawa, the Judgment sub-series is now flying the flag for the more traditional beat-em-up action the Yakuza franchise is known for, while mainline Yakuza titles will now follow the turn-based RPG action of Yakuza: Like a Dragon.
The previous Judgment game puts you in control of Takayuki Yagami, a private detective investigating a serial-murder case in Kamurocho. The game features similar beat-em-up action to most of the classic Yakuza titles but with the addition of an investigation mode where players must search the scene of the crime for evidence and clues in order to solve the case. This gameplay will be carried forward into Lost Judgment.
A new update is now available for Puyo Puyo Tetris 2, adding yet another batch of characters to the roster. In particular, we get some real fan-favourites in this wave; Yuu & Rei, Possessed Klug, Serilly, and Rafisol. They bring with them 3 new music tracks, and 20 icons for your online profile.
In addition, you can now adjust colour options including saturation, as a means of improving accessibility, and the previously single-player only Challenge Modes can now be played in multiplayer too! While not specifically mentioned on SEGA’s end, we’ve also been informed that some of the game’s lag issues have been cleared up now too, which is much appreciated.

SEGA’s detective-based Yakuza spinoff Judgment is making its way to modern platforms, with an upgraded release including all DLC content.
The game will now boast a 60fps framerate, which will represent a far cry from the somewhat iffy performance of the original PS4 release. In addition, there’ll be improved load times across the board.
There’s a catch though. While PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X owners get to sink their teeth into the remaster, sadly the PC version will be restricted to Google’s streaming platform Stadia for the time being. To make matters worse, SEGA has confirmed to RPG Site that there’s no plan for a conventional PC version, nor an upgrade path for owners of the PS4 version. It’s certainly a shame to see, as even back when the game launched, RGG Studio said they’d be interested in doing a PC conversion. At any rate, there’s not long to wait; the remaster will launch on April 23rd, worldwide.
