Core, a user at the Sonic Stadium Message Board has released a Christmas NiGHTS themed fangame today. Now you can enjoy a rather substantial piece of NiGHTS fangaming on your PC. The game includes a variety of different gameplay modes such as Normal Dream, Christmas Dream, Chase Mission, Battle, Race and a very cool Sonic mode.
Seeing as we may never see a NiGHTS into Dreams or Christmas NiGHTS re-release, this is a welcome addition for anyone who is a fan of the purple, flying jester. Take a look at the gameplay trailer below:

Eggman Hates Furries is a manic Sonic fangame that essentially boils down to one epic boss-fight after another. Developed by Oddwarg, it’s a complete game that sees Sonic hitting ridiculous speeds whilst battling an almost endless army of different creations. It’s fantastic to watch and even more intense to play. Take a look at the trailer below to see what’s in store:

Sonic Mayhem is an 8 bit, Game Gear-styled Sonic fan-game that’s been in development for quite some time now. I’m a massive fan of Sonic’s Game Gear outings as they really pushed the hardware to its’ limits and created an authentic Sonic experience for those who weren’t ready for 16 bit yet.
Amesuki; the game’s developer, has revealed a new trailer for a stage called Starlight Park which is completely inspired by Sonic Colours’s Starlight Carnival. Amesuki is hoping to include an 8 bit version of the stage’s theme in the final release. Check out the new footage below:

I’m on a pretty big SEGA Saturn buzz at the moment so anything related to SEGA’s 32 bit wonder has been of instant appeal to me. However, this little discovery is very cool regardless of my rose-tinted glasses.
Theodore Taylor III has developed an hour long mix of tunes from various Saturn games and put it online for free download. It’s a great little project that is mixed incredibly well and makes for an awesome bit of listening. Tracks from Virtua Figher 2, Fighting Vipers, Sonic 3D Blast, Burning Rangers and Daytona USA all make the cut.

Head over to the official Sonic Fan Remix website now to download a demo of the fangame that is taking the internet by storm.
However, be prepared to suffer if you’re computer isn’t very high end because Sonic Fan Remix requires a lot of power. Those of you with up-to-date gaming PCs need not worry.

More Streets of Rage fangames! This time, this one is actually a complete game!
Streets of Rage Remake was developed by Bomber Games and is a remix game of sorts. It essentially mashes up elements of all 3 Streets of Rage games into 1. The stages are expanded and altered from the originals and there’s even the addition of extra and unlockable characters to use.
Have a look at some gameplay footage to see what’s on offer:
This is a remarkable achievement which is incredible fun to play. So give it a go! You can download the final release here and enjoy some wonderful Streets of Rage action on your PC!

You probably know I’m a big supporter of Sonic fangaming and if there’s one game I can’t wait to get my hands on this year, it’s Sonic the Hedgehog Classic. Developed from the ground up by Hez, this fangame pays homage to Sonic’s Mega Drive era. Taking influence from all Sonic’s 16 bit titles, Sonic the Hedgehog Classic is an entirely original game that looks and plays exactly as you’d imagine a Mega Drive Sonic game should. Check out this sexy trailer that gives you an insight to the full game:
