Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth Includes Animal Crossing-Style Island Sim

A new trailer for Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth has dropped that reveals an additional life-sim mode called DonDoko Island. On this fully customisable space away from the main game, you can create and manage your own island resort very much like an Animal Crossing game. You can see all of this in action via the trailer which you can watch below:

Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth releases on January 26th 2024 for PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S and PC. The game is being developed by Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio.

With the release of Like a Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name quickly approaching, we now get a look at the game’s opening cinematic and theme song, ‘Katatoki’ by Yojiro Noda and J.I.D. You can watch the cinematic via the embed below:

Like a Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name will release digital only for PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S and PC on November 9th 2023. The game is an interquel set between Yakuza 6 and Yakuza: Like a Dragon that tells the story of Kiryu Kazama as he goes into hiding in Sotenbori.

The RGG Summit has brought with it news that Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth will be releasing on January 26th 2024. We also have a brand new gameplay trailer that highlights a huge swathe of features. We also have a new 10 minute story trailer that summarises the game’s plot. A release date for Like a Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name has been revealed. The game will launch as a digital-only title on November 9th 2023 for PS4 and PS5 systems. You can also check out a brand new story trailer as well as some absolutely off-the-wall, in-game, agent action via the embed below:

Also included in the package is a trial version of the upcoming 8th installment in the Yakuza/Like a Dragon mainline series: Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth. Infinite Wealth appears to put you in control of both Ichiban Kasuga and Kiryu Kazama.

Like a Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name tells the story of what happened to Kiryu Kazama after Yakuza 6: The Song of Life. Kiryu has gone into hiding in Sotenbori and is using an alias to distance himself from the people he desperately wants to protect. Unfortunately for Kiryu, it appears his cover has been blown and he is now being blackmailed

Next Mainline Like a Dragon is Called Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth, Coming Early 2024

GamesRadar have confirmed that Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth is the rebranded Like a Dragon 8 that was previously revealed back in September 2022. This also means the game is likely going to be launching on PS4 and PS5 in addition to PC, Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S.

ORIGINAL STORY

The next chapter in Ichiban’s journey through the Like a Dragon franchise is coming to Microsoft platforms in early 2024. This new entry in the series sees Ichiban wake up naked on a beach in North America. You’ve got to see it to believe it:

It is unclear at the time of writing if Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth is a rebranding of the previously announced Like a Dragon 8 or a new entry in the franchise. It is also unclear if this entry is Microsoft exclusive or if it will be coming to other platforms.

Previously revealed back in September 2022, Like a Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name is an interquel set between Yakuza 6 & 8 and is said to be game with a much smaller scope than previous entries in the Like a Dragon franchise. We now have our first look at the in-game action of Like a Dragon Gaiden and it showcases some pretty wild beat-em-up combat with Kiryu going undercover as the mysterious Joryu. Judgment Franchise Comes to PC Via Steam

Lost Judgment

Both Judgment games have finally made their way to PC and can be bought together with The Kaito Files DLC as The Judgment Collection on Steam.

Judgment and Lost Judgment take place in the Yakuza universe and put you in control of a new protagonist called Takayuki Yagami who is a lawyer-turn-detective investigating a case involving a series of murders where the victims eyes are removed. While the combat is very similar to the Yakuza series, there is a heavier focus on investigation.

Judgment is currently priced at £34.99, Lost Judgment is priced at £49.99 and The Kaito Files DLC for Lost Judgment is priced at £24.99. The entire collection can be purchased for a discounted total of £83.57.

Like a Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name Announced, Smaller Sub Story Game Set Between Yakuza 6 & 8

A new Yakuza side story game has been revealed called Like a Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name. The game will explore what happened to Kiryu Kazuma between Yakuza 6: The Song of Life and Like a Dragon 8. The game is set to launch at some point in 2023.

It has been reported that Like a Dragon Gaiden will be a smaller entry in the franchise – roughly half the size of a typical Yakuza game. The game is due to launch on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S and PC.

Like a Dragon: Ishin! Getting Localised for Western Release

The Yakuza series spin-off Ryu Ga Gotoku: Ishin! is being localised for a Western release as Like a Dragon: Ishin! This new version of the game will release on PS4 and PS5 in February 2023 and is now powered by Unreal Engine 4.

The original release of Ryu Ga Gotoku: Ishin! was powered by SEGA’s internal Yakuza engine that powered every Yakuza game from Kenzan! to Kiwami. This version launched in 2014 and also saw release on PS3.

Like a Dragon: Ishin! will launch on PS4 and PS5 in Western territories in February 2023. The game is being developed once again by Ryu Ga Gotoku Studios.

Official Yakuza Skins Now Available in Rainbow Six Siege

Online multiplayer FPS Rainbow Six Siege has revealed that 2 Yakuza skins are now available to purchase in game. You can now dress Hibana as Kaoru Sayama and Echo as Kazama Kiryu. Check out how the skins look in game via the embed below:

The above trailer also hints at a Goro Majima skin that is promised to be coming soon. The Kaoru Sayama and Kazama Kiryu are available now for Rainbow Six Siege on Xbox One, PS4 and PC.
