Sturmwind Releases on Dreamcast April 24th

Regular and limited edition copies of Sturmwind, the new shoot-em-up for Dreamcast, will launch on April 24th. The long delayed shmup from Duranik and Redspotgames is finally getting released!

The fierce enemy‘s troops have already reached our world‘s doorsteps and we are running out of time! Our reconnaissance drones have detected 16 promising locations for our search of „Mother“, the planet of our living ancestors.

After several development steps by Duranik and redspotgames the launch date for your mission is clear.

Sturmwind pilots, your all-dominant mission will begin on April 24th 2013. All documents will be sent to you until this very date.

Fight over 20 boss enemies in 16 levels. In addition to the so-called “Award Trophy System”, there will also be an internet highscore list in which your performance can compete against each other worldwide.

Your wings of steel are now our last resort.

Hucast Announce New Dreamcast Game ‘The Ghost Blade’

Hucast are a busy little developer! Fresh off the back of Redux: Dark Matters comes The Ghost Blade, a new “caravan shooting game” (whatever that means) for the Dreamcast.

Release Dates for Redux Dark Matters Content Revealed

The release dates for all items involved in the release of the new Dreamcast shmup Redux: Dark Matters have been detailed. Check them out below:

February 2013: delivery of MP3 soundtrack to all $25 backers. Fulfilment of all $25 to $55 pledges
April 2013: shipment of regular and limited edition steelcase versions of Redux Dark Matters as well as $1000 backer items

Under Defeat HD Deluxe Edition Coming to UK 9th of November

Dreamcast helicopter-em-up Under Defeat is being re-released by Rising Star Games on November 9th for X-Box 360 and PS3. The original title (released by the mighty shmup developer G.Rev) was released for the Dreamcast in 2006 as a Japanese exclusive. As a later Dreamcast release it is now highly collectable. Check out some HD gameplay below:

NG:Dev.Team Releasing New Dreamcast Game NEO XYX

NG:Dev.Team are back with another Dreamcast game! The game is called NEO XYX and is being billed as a ‘maniac shooting game’. The top-down shooter reminds us a lot of the Capcom 1945 games. Check out the first teaser below:

You can pre-order the game now from the NG:Dev.Direct shop. The game is currently set for release in Q2 2013. The size of the game also depends on the money raised from pre-orders so if you want a bigger game then hop to it!
