Yakuza Kiwami 3 is a remake of Yakuza 3 running in RGG Studio’s Dragon Engine. It comes with a brand new chapter called Dark Ties which allows you to play as Mine for the first time in the franchise’s history. You can now get a look at Mine’s combat in action via the latest trailer for the game which you can view below:

SEGA have released a gameplay trailer for Yakuza Kiwami 3 that specifically showcases the in-game combat. The trailer lets you see Kiryu fighting in Kamurocho and using weapons in Okinawa. You can watch the gameplay trailer below:

Yakuza Kiwami 3 & Dark Ties releases February 12th 2026 on PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X|S, PC and Switch 2. The game is being developed by RGG Studio and is a remake of Yakuza 3 with a new chapter called Dark Ties that lets you play as Mine.

Yakuza Kiwami 3 Announced, Comes With New ‘Dark Ties’ Campaign

SEGA and RGG Studio have revealed that an enhanced remake of Yakuza 3 is coming in February 2026. Yakuza Kiwami 3 will include a complete Kiwami-style remake of Yakuza 3 developed in the Dragon Engine.

The game will also include a new campaign called Dark Ties which features Mine as the playable protagonist. You can check out the announcement trailer below:

Interestingly, the roles of Goh Hamazaki and Rikiya Shimabakuro have been recast for Yakuza Kiwami 3.
