SEGA 3D Classics Collection Confirmed for EU Release

In the latest edition of SEGA Europe’s SEGA Central YouTube series, community manager Dan Sheridan has confirmed that SEGA 3D Classics Collection will come to Europe and the delay to its launch in this region is, “subject to approval submissions”.

Sheridan couldn’t confirm a release date for the game but confirmation that it is coming to Europe is certainly a big step forward for SEGA Europe who have generally been quite late on the uptake of releasing games the American branch of SEGA have already committed to.

You can watch the latest episode of SEGA Central below. It also includes an unboxing of the new Europa Edition of Valkyria Chronicles Remastered which launches on the 17th of this month:

SEGA Decal Sheet to Come With First Print Copies of SEGA 3D Classics Collection

All pre-orders and first print editions of the upcoming SEGA 3D Classics Collection on 3DS will come with a free SEGA consoles decal sheet.

Got some spare faceplates that you no longer use for your New 3DS? Well why not sticker them up and make them well SEGAry mate! Stick em on your notebooks and sketchpads! Or you can do what I do and never use them, safeguarding their resale value!

SEGA 3D Classics Collection launches in the Americas on the 26th of April. There is still no announcement regarding a European release which SUCKS

SEGA 3D Classics Collection Announced for 3DS

In a rather surprising turn of events, SEGA have committed to bringing the 3DS compilation title SEGA 3D Reprint Archives 2 to the West under the new name of SEGA 3D Classics Collection.

The collection bundles together the previously released M2 versions of 3D Sonic The Hedgehog, 3D Galaxy Force II, 3D Thunderblade, 3D Altered Beast, 3D Fantasy Zone II but with 2 exclusive ports of 3D Power Drift and 3D Puyo Puyo 2. Also included are two 3D Master System titles; Maze Walker and Fantasy Zone II.

Also confirmed are new SEGA 3DS themes. While no specifics are currently available outside a “coming soon” release date, we can assume that the Dreamcast console theme could well be one of them as SEGA have previously teased the release of that theme.

SEGA 3D Classics Collection launches on the 26th of April in America, exclusively for 3DS. There is currently no word on a European release.
