Saturn RPGs Lunar: Silver Star Story & Lunar 2: Eternal Blue Getting Remastered for Modern Consoles

Wednesday, September 25th, 2024

2 of the SEGA Saturn’s most beloved RPGs are returning in a newly remastered format for PS4, PS5, PC, Switch and Xbox One. The Lunar Remastered Collection bundles Lunar: Silver Star Story and Lunar 2: Eternal Blue together, and features the original pixel art but now with upscaled cutscenes and some fancy depth-of-field effects.

Originally developed by Game Arts and released for the Mega CD, both games would later come to the Saturn and then the PlayStation. The PlayStation versions are what is being used as the basis for this new collection. These new remasters are being developed and published by GungHo Online Entertainment who are responsible for games in the Puzzle & Dragons, Ninjala and Let It Die franchises. They also handled the Grandia HD Collection released back in 2019.

Nintendo Switch Action Game Ninjala’s First In-Game Collaboration Event is with the Sonic the Hedgehog Series

Monday, August 24th, 2020

GungHo, developers of the Nintendo Switch multiplayer brawler Ninjala, have officially revealed the game’s first crossover event is inbound – and it’s with none other than Sonic the Hedgehog!

This news won’t actually come as a shock to most Sonic fans, seeing as this information got datamined before Ninjala was even officially released, thanks to the game’s numerous beta tests. All the same, it’s cool to see it confirmed, and now we’ll have to wait and see just what this collaboration entails. Or enknuckles.

This was announced in GungHo’s latest Ninjala Dev Diary, which you can watch here. When the Sonic collab will actually happen is still unknown, but with the official announcement now out there, we’d imagine it’ll be sooner rather than later.
