Toshihiro Nagoshi; the mastermind behind the Yakuza series has announced a new game for the Playstation 3 and X-Box 360 called Binary Domain.
The game is aimed at a global audience and takes place in Tokyo in the year 2080. The game is an online-based action title which sees players pilot robots from a third-person perspective.
There is currently no word on whether SEGA will publish the game or if it will make it to Western shores at this time. We’ll be keeping an eye on this one as it sounds a bit Virtual On-ish to me!

SEGA of Europe and SEGA of America have confirmed they will be bringing Binary Domain to the West. There’s even a trailer featuring racial stereotypes:
