Synopsis
The DVD release of the 1996 Japanese animated film, Sonic the Hedgehog: The Movie. Originally released as a two episode original video animation, the two parts were combined to create a movie for its Western release. Sonic and Tails are called to the capital of Planet Freedom by Old Man Owl to meet with the president. When Sonic and Tails arrive, Dr. Robotnik has taken the president and his daughter Sara captive and forces Sonic and Tails to assist him with returning to the Land of Darkness. The Land of Darkness is also where Robotnik’s home of Robotropolis is. Robotropolis has been taken by Robotnik’s doppelganger, Metal Robotnik, who has overloaded the city’s generator. It’s up to Sonic and Tails to stop the generator from going critical and destroying the city.
