Sonic the Hedgehog (SatAM)

Synopsis
A 4 DVD boxset of the 1993-1994 animated Sonic the Hedgehog cartoon (SatAM) that was produced by DiC Entertainment. This series follows on from Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog and takes a more serious tone. Sonic and his freedom fighter friends take refuge in the Knothole village as Dr. Robotnik has taken over Mobius from his terraformed city, Robotropolis. It’s up to the freedom fighters to put up a resistance and stop Robotnik from “roboticizing” all of the inhabitants of Mobius. Various new characters are introduced including Princess Sally Acorn, Antoine Depardieu and Bunnie Rabbot. This setting and cast of characters was carried over into the North American Sonic the Hedgehog comic book produced by Archie Comics from 1992 to 2016. All artwork for this release except for the main cover was submitted by fans in a competition that was run prior to its release.
