Sonic the Hedgehog (2020 Paramount Movie)
Synopsis
The UK blu-ray release of the 2020 live action Sonic the Hedgehog movie directed by Jeff Fowler and starring Jim Carrey as Dr. Robotnik and Ben Schwartz as the voice of Sonic. In this adaptation, Sonic flees his home planet as a tribe of echidna are hunting him down to steal his power. Thanks to the efforts of Sonic’s guardian Longclaw the Owl, Sonic escapes to Earth and takes refuge in the forest town called Green Hills. Sonic’s isolation in the forest develops into loneliness and during a quiet evening on a baseball field he lets out his frustrations, accidentally causing an energy surge which alerts the US military to his presence. Under the guidance of Dr. Robotnik, the military then start their own efforts to hunt down Sonic, with Robotnik’s ultimate goal to once again harness Sonic’s power.
