SEGA Super Control Station SF-7000

The SEGA Super Control Station SF-7000 is a peripheral for the SC-3000 which gives users access to a 3 inch floppy disk drive as well as expanding the system’s RAM with an additional 64kB and an extra 8kB of ROM. It also adds a Centronics parallel port and an RS-232 serial port to the system. Compatible software saved on 3 inch floppies could then be run on the SC-3000. This peripheral is extremely rare and there is no information regarding any commercially released software on the 3 inch floppy format for the SC-3000. 3 inch floppies would remain an obscurity as 3-and-a-half and 5-and-a-quarter inch floppies dominated the market. The SF-7000 is connected to an SC-3000 via a ROM cartridge. This also makes it compatible with the SG-1000, SG-1000 II and SEGA Mark III.
