Dreamcast: Year Two

Dreamcast: Year Two is the follow-up to 2020’s Dreamcast: Year One history book that chronicles the story of the SEGA Dreamcast’s second year on the market, but from the approach of a British writer who experienced the system in the UK. In addition to the story of SEGA announcing that they were withdrawing from hardware development to focus on publishing games as a third party, the writer interviews various key figures associated with the Dreamcast like the voice of Shenmue’s Ryo Hazuki, Corey Marshall, and Darren Jones of Retro Gamer magazine. The book is then rounded out with a series of game reviews of titles that launched within the console’s second year on the market. 182 pages. Self-published in 2023 and written by Andrew J. Dickinson with contributions by Brian Vines, Kevin Mason, Tom Charnock and many more.
