Astro City Mini V

The Astro City Mini V is the follow-up mini console to the original Astro City Mini. The goal with the Astro City Mini V was to offer a true vertical display to support tate mode arcade games without down-scaling the game’s visuals like certain games did on the original Astro City Mini. Unlike the original console which was mainly populated with first party SEGA arcade games, the Astro City Mini V is largely made up of third party games that SEGA has officially licensed from companies and developers like Nichibutsu, Eighting, Psikyo, Raizing and Toaplan. There is also a heavy focus on vertically scrolling shoot-em-ups. The system features a compilation of 22 arcade games and was released on July 28th 2022. The console features a HDMI out port to allow the games to be displayed on a HDTV and 2 USB ports which work with separately sold USB controllers. The system must be powered a micro USB cable and the marquee at the top of the unit lights up when the system is in use. The Astro City Mini V is currently Japan exclusive.
