AtGames SEGA Mega Drive/Genesis Arcade Classic
The AtGames series of Mega Drive consoles are officially licensed by SEGA and distributed in Europe by Blaze. These systems contain clone ‘system-on-a-chip’ motherboards developed by AtGames and are notorious for poor sound emulation and low compatibility with actual Mega Drive games. Each system includes a variety of built-in software that can be accessed when the console is powered on without a game in the cartridge slot. The console can only be connected to televisions via composite video out. Many variants of the system exist with varying quantities of built-in software, but some models expand their games line-up with original titles developed by AtGames themselves. In addition to the standard 9 pin controller ports, later variants of the console also include an infra-red receiver to be used in conjunction with a pair of wireless controllers included with the system. Controllers are often unbranded and modeled after the MK-1470 6 button controllers.
