At Limited Run Games’s LRG3 2025 online showcase, the publisher has revealed they are remastering and re-releasing a whole bunch of SEGA games.
FMV games Slam City Featuring Scotty Pippen and Prize Fighter are receiving HD remasters based on their original video files. Slam City is now subtitled the Respect Edition and Prize Fighter is now subtitled the Heavyweight Edition. Both titles are being developed by Screaming Villains who have previously remastered Night Trap and Double Switch. Prize Fighter: Heavyweight Edition will be made available on PS4 and PS5, while Slam City: Respect Edition will be made available on Switch, Xbox Series X|S, PS4 and PS5.
In addition to these remasters, an Earnest Evans collection is collecting the Mega CD games Earnest Evans and Anetto Futatabi (now translated as Annet Returns) together with the Mega Drive game El Viento to create the Earnest Evans Collection. The collection is being developed by Edia who have been previously responsible for the Valis: Fantasm Soldier collections. This collection will release on PC, Switch, PS4 and PS5.
You can check out the full LRG3 2025 showcase video below which features the announcements for all of these titles.
There are no firm release dates for any of these titles, but Limited Run promises they will be coming in 2026.
