SEGA president John Cheng has revealed that Sonic: Lost World will feature all new gameplay and enemies, as well as some new friends to accompany Sonic. Cheng has said: “With ‘Sonic Lost World,’ we’re going to introduce new gameplay and enemies, which is always fun. In terms of Sonic and his friends, he’ll have his same friends there, and I think there’ll be some new ones as well. It’s not a reiteration. It’s going to be all new.” Cheng has also commented on the deal between Nintendo and SEGA which means the next 3 Sonic games are Nintendo exclusive: “It should be a win-win situation. Looks like SEGA are gearing up for a new Sonic release! SEGA of Japan have trademarked the name “Sonic Lost World” while SEGA of Europe and registered the URL www.soniclostworlds.com. No word on what this trademark and URL relate to but speculation is already pointing to the next, major Sonic release. More on this as we get it.
