Habit Soft have produced a new Mega Drive version of their Game Boy Color game Repair Chan’s Repair Strategy and the game is available to order now. Unfortunately, the game is entirely Japan exclusive at the time of writing and will only ship to Japanese addresses.
Repair Chan’s Repair Strategy is a puzzle game where you must fly Repair Chan to various platforms around a stage and charge them up to beat the stage. The game has an interestingly flying mechanic where you need to flap Repair Chan’s 2 pigtails independently in order to control her in the air. You can check out some footage of the game in action via the embed below:

Homebrew developers NoRecess and Condense are creating a brand new port of the 8 bit version of Sonic the Hedgehog for the Amstrad GX-4000 called Sonic the Hedgehog GX. This port is based on the Game Gear version and features some really beautiful artwork:
A playable version isn’t publicly available at this time but the game’s website promises a release by the end of 2020. There are also videos of the game running under direct capture and off-screen on real hardware that you can watch by clicking here and here.
It’s time for a new independent Mega Drive development! This time we have Demons of Asteborg; an action title from Neofid Technology based in Manosque, France.
Demons of Asteborg is a game very much in the Ghouls ‘n Ghosts/Volgarr the Viking mold. The game is due to be released on Steam, Nintendo Switch and most importantly, the SEGA Mega Drive in August 2020. However, it requires £30,892 of funding to be made a reality, and that’s where Kickstarter comes into play.
If this all sounds interesting to you, you can pledge towards the game’s development and receive the game for whatever format you desire as either a physical product or a digital download. There are many tiers to choose from to suit as many people as possible so click here to check out the Demons of Asteborg Kickstarter page and see what takes your fancy.
