First Screens of Akira Yuki in Dengeki Bunko Fighting Climax

Friday, February 28th, 2014

There you have it; Akira Yuki from Virtua Fighter in Dengeki Bunko Fighting Climax!

Akira appears as a part of the 20th anniversary celebrations of the release of the original Virtua Fighter. His appearance in Dengeki Bunko Fighting Climax is that of a boss character who is partnered with Pai Chan as a support character.

As Akira only appears as a boss character he is not playable in the arcade game. Fingers crossed this will change if the game gets a home console release.

Dengeki Bunko Fighting Climax is out in Japanese arcades this Spring.

Virtua Fighter 20th Anniversary Website Appears

Friday, November 29th, 2013

SEGA of Japan have launched a 20th anniversary Virtua Fighter website. You can access the website by clicking here.

The website is looking a bit sparse at the moment with the only real content being a video of the original game, but the fact that SEGA are acknowledging Virtua Fighter’s 20th anniversary must mean they have something up their sleeve. New merchandise? A sale on existing games? A whole new game altogether!? Only time will tell.

Keep an eye on the website as it also contains a blog which is bound to be updated in the near future. Excitement!
