The CD BackUp RAM Cart allows Mega-CD owners to store additional save data. This is especially necessary for games like Shining Force CD that require more save data space than what is automatically available on the internal Mega-CD backup RAM. Pictured below is a Japanese model that comes with labels you apply yourself with the idea that you write on the label to remind you what save data is on the cartridge.
