SEGA Fes 2018 Starts Tomorrow in Japan, Announcement Teased

Tomorrow (April 14th), SEGA’s two day SEGA FES 2018 event starts at the Bellesalle Akihabara in Tokyo – and SEGA of America have actually made note of the event, teasing a huge announcement SEGA fans “won’t want to miss”.

It was already stated that some kind of announcement would be made at the event, but previous announcements of this sort have been targeted more towards a Japanese audience (such as the reveal of SEGA AM2’s Soul Reverse for arcades). SEGA America’s promotion of the announcement is a surprise – and indicates something major could be on the way.

In addition to the announcement, SEGA Fes 2018 will have plenty for fans to get stuck into, including the first official Puyo eSports Competition. There’s also a plethora of merchandise on sale, including a service that lets you get a figure of yourself with a beloved SEGA character printed. With any luck, the bulk of the merchandise may end up on SEGA’s Amazon Store, as with TGS event items.

SEGA FES 2018 starts Saturday April 14th in Japan, and runs through to Sunday 15th April. The event will be live streamed – full details for the stream schedule can be found at Gematsu. The announcement is expected in the early hours of Saturday morning, UK time.
