SEGA of Japan are releasing Virtua Fighter 2, Sonic the Fighters, Virtua Striker, Fighting vipers and Cyber Troopers: Virtual-On for the Japanese XBLA and PSN services. Sonic the Fighters, Virtua Fighter and Fighting Vipers will be bundled together as a $15 3 game pack on PSN all with online versus modes. This pack will come out during Autumn 2012 while the others are due “winter 2013″ but we think this might be a typo and it’s actually 2012.
More interestingly is the fact that Sonic the Fighters is an expanded version that makes Metal Sonic and Eggman playable as well as the dumped character Honey the Cat. Now that was unexpected!
Unfortunately there is no word on a Western release at this time.
